School Holiday Camps.

Looking for ways to entertain the kids during the school holidays?

Every holiday we run horse riding school holiday camps, suitable for beginner riders. Our camps are extremely popular, with children coming from far and wide to take part in the exciting hands-on activities. Best of all, they run in all weather conditions thanks to our large undercover arena, keeping everyone dry and comfortable.

We can also organise a private camp experience if you have your own group. (See below)

Each camp provides a fun, safe and supportive environment where riders enjoy a combination of group riding, horsemanship activities and mounted games under the guidance of our friendly coaches and handlers. Throughout the day, children take part in grooming, tacking up, horsemanship, braiding and plenty of riding activities.

For our older riders, we also include additional equine care learning opportunities such as horse health, farriery, first aid, feeding and stable management.

Our camps are designed to be engaging, educational and lots of fun. Everyone gets plenty of time in the saddle, whether participating in group riding lessons or mounted games.

BEGINNER Half Day School Holiday Camps

July Camp Dates:
Monday to Friday: 6th - 20th July
9am to 12pm Weekdays

Ages 5 to 11 years (Older kids may want to Build their own Group Camp - see below)

👉 Half day beginner camps are $295 per person per day
(These can also be run by request at alternative dates/times in if you have your own group of minimum of four riders)

👉 Camps run as single morning sessions – book just one day, or come along for as many mornings as you like!

What to expect?

Beginner Half Day Camps -9am - 12pm Ages 5 to 11 years (Older kids may want to Build their own Group Camp - see below)

↠ A minimum of 1 hour riding - Please note that beginner riders rarely leave a walk

↠ 1 hour horsemanship - learning about handling and looking after ponies, with time spent grooming and decorating our ponies.

↠ Remaining time will comprise of supervised hanging out with the horses, a short break and additional learning opportunities, including helping with feeds, grooming the ponies and even some stable cleaning!

Build your own Group Holiday Camp

2-Hour School Holiday Activities - including private lesson | 2 or more participants

This unique lesson experience is perfect for pairs or small groups, such as a parent and child, siblings, friends, or families, who share a love of horses. Designed for all riding levels and abilities, these lessons allow riders of varying experience to enjoy a rewarding and tailored experience together. Includes;

• A private lesson for each rider, (one on one with a coach) customised to the individual’s skill level. This ensures that more advanced riders are challenged while beginners receive focused attention to build confidence and improve technique.

• A group horsemanship session tailored to the group's collective experience, ensuring that each rider gains valuable foundational knowledge about horse care, grooming, handling, ground work, communication, and safety.

Cost $245 Child (3-11yrs) and 12yrs + $275 per person

What to expect?

2-Hour Build your own Group Holiday Camp - (including private lesson)

↠ Bring your own group of riders - minimum 2 riders

↠ Entails a mix of group horsemanship and a private lesson each

What to bring?

A labeled water bottle
Morning tea/ snack
Hat and sunscreen
Long stretchy pants or leggings
Closed toe shoes with a small flat heel or boots (we have boots in various sizes available to use if required)

As you can appreciate we are usually out with the horses and conducting lessons, so answering the phone immediately can be tricky at times. How to book Holiday Camps?

Bookings are made through a link to our booking platform.
To book your riding lesson click Book Now below. (You will be redirected to our booking platform)
Here you will register as a client - create an account (or log in if you already have an account) and nominate a rider.
Wait for our team to activate your profile in our system (usually within few hours).
Once this is done, navigate to your preferred School Holiday Camp date and make your booking.
*Note - to book the other 2hr School Holiday Activities/ Private Groups or to discuss an activity tailored for you, contact our team via email team@mceq.com.au or text your message to 0433 247 247. Then choose Add to Basket. Go to Basket then go to Checkout and Make Payment.
Once you have done this, you will receive a Booking Confirmation and an email advising the next steps.
